Alexandro Jan Lai is a non-formal education trainer, facilitator, and youth work expert based in Sardinia, Italy, with almost 30 years of experience in international youth mobility and intercultural learning. He has delivered training for the Italian National Agency for Erasmus+, SALTO Resource Centres, and other European National Agencies, and is a founding member of the International Youth Work Trainers Guild — which he has represented on the European Academy on Youth Work Advisory Group since 2020 — and of the Italian NINFEA (National Informal and Non-formal Education Association), of which he is currently Vice President.
His work is particularly rooted in rural youth work, bridging European frameworks (Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps) with local implementation in underserved rural communities — an area he has advanced through his ongoing collaboration with Associazione Interculturale NUR aps in Sardinia.
